Awesome question!

While there are lots of wonderful four-letter words for me to choose from, my favorite has a special meaning to me during this, my birthday month.

My favorite four letter word is spelled L I S A.

I am one of the lucky 2,484,9551,146,820 people in the WORLDWIDE named Lisa according to forebears.com, and I absolutely love my four-letter name!

Of course, my absolute love for my name isn’t specific to me – there’s actually a science behind loving one’s name: scientists refer to it as the Name Letter Effect which is a tendency of people to prefer the letters of their name over the letters over other letters in the alphabet.

For real. It’s definitely true for me.

I’m (well, my name is) so popular! 

And popularity has its perks: 

1. I can always find my name on mugs pencils Lisa Frank notebooks and folders
2. lots characters in TV shows and movies have my name, including
   • (Mona) Lisa Vito in My Cousin Vinny
   • Lisa Turtle from Saved by the Bell
   • Lisa Cuddy on House MD
   • Lisa Simpson in The Simpson
   • Lisa Loud in The Loud House

And last, but not least

3. the following artists liked my name enough to included it in songs, including (but not limited to):
   • LL Cool J, who thought I was Around the Way Girl
   • Portrait, who wanted to Call Me
   • DMX – he wanted to know…What I Wanted
   • Blackstreet thought I was in full effect (No Diggity!)
   • and  most importantly (especially this month), in the Simpson episode when Bart meets someone who insists they are Michael Jackson, the two make an AWESOME happy birthday song to Lisa (yes, I’m linking this video twice!): Lisa it’s your birthday song (from the Simpsons)
